yea, im on a budget. the most i have for vid cards is $150, thats why i opted for those two. unless those higher end vid cards are around $150 and im not looking good enough, help me out please. thanks

the 6600 u posted is AGP and x850xt is a pci-express.
u must tell whether ur motherboard is agp or pci-express.

if u have pci-express get 256MB evga 6800 for just 129$

as i heard u may able to unlock it to 16 pipes

u can get pci-express msi 6800GS for 150$

if u have an agp mobo then u must make a new build because agp cards are really expensive and they not as good as pci express (thats my opinion)

um...he prolly has a budget...no one thort about that did they...to me when he is lookn at cards around the $119 mark..im guessing he doesnt wanna spend to much $$$....so thats why i sudgested the 6600GT....not everyone has money to blow on $300 graphic cards you know....and the 6600GT...there is nothing wrong with this card...its still a great card

Yeah he could be on a budget, but I saw it as the same boat I'm in, I don't want to have to rebuild my entire computer (just yet) to be able to utilize a top-of-the-line PCI-E card. If he's looking for a high end AGP card, maybe these are the way to go. . .:S

And a question, how noticable is there difference in performance between the RADEON X850 XT and the RADEON X850 XT-PE (Platinum Edition)?

if you dont game 24/7 and aint that HARDCORE, just a gamer that plays regularly and doesnt need it to look so good and is low on price then damit, GET THE 6600GT! plus it can play all games of today on at least medium settings, its a great budget card.
