Memory ??

Ok, my system supports 2gb PC2100 DDR SDRam. I installed 1gb and powered up the system and all I got was short beeps, nothing else. I tried switching slots same thing. Bad memory??

how many beeps? count them. the amount of beeps tell u whats wrong

ok will try that, but it seems to theres no pattern. just beeps about one every 1-2 seconds

Use another type of RAM and see what happens.

System does run with the factory ram, and I'm in the process of getting a different 1gb stick. I did the count the beeps... just a steady beeping, I guess long beeps couple seconds apart.
