Ok, in trying to buy a geforce 7900gt off newegg, I found three contenders; two are notable for being in stock.

the three are

ASUS Geforce 7900GT EN7900GT/2DHT/256M Video Card - Retail

in stock, cheapest, clocked at 430/1300

eVGA Geforce 7900GT 256-P2-N565-AX Video Card - Retail
clocked at 550/1580, most expensive, also in stock.

lastly, a variation of second card listed above.

clocked at 500/1500, not in stock; two times ive tried to order, but either my PSU or my graphics for my new rig is out of stock, and i want to order it all from newegg.

Ok, would the clock differences between the two evgas really account for a noticible difference? same question about the cheap one with low clock speeds and any of the evgas?

Ill go with the evga, but is the more expensive one "superclocked", so I could overclock THAT to reach even higher speeds?

It's the exact same card, but pre-OC'd for you, with a warranty to cover it.

I was about to make this exact topic, I plan on buying the CO version non-Supermegaoverclocked... the speed change is very small, and I bet the cheaper CO version can be pushed just as much. Can anyone confirm this?

I can't confirm it yet, but i'm following the same thinking. I'm going to get a 7900GTX as soon as they are available "eVGA" of course.

I was thinking about the OC version, but I read a few times that people have had issues with artifacting with the Super OC'ed ones. That only results in a RMA. I'm not looking to RMA a card, that is the final piece to the RIG i've been working on building in the last 6 months.
