Arctic Silver 5

Right i got some arctic silver 5 from overclockers - beginning to wish i bought from ebay.

It says i need high-purity isopropyl alcohol.. ok what the **** is it and what ordinary daily item can i use to remove the average stuff that was put on a AMD athlon x2 4800+ as manufactured?

high-purity isopropyl alcohol is rubbing alcohol. just get 80%+

Can kitchen paper do to wipe the processor?

I also wish people when making suggestions tell me i needed this alcohol stuff at the start i would of bought it all in a bunch from ebay for really cheap

I use goof off and it works great. paper towels work but make sure no paper residue is left on the chip or heatsink.

the blue industrial rolls of towels are really good for not leaving anything behing

q-tip and alcohol are the best.

I believe you could buy that alcohol from a grocery store or pharmacy. Its rubbing alcohol, or nail polish remover..
