calendar sharing in windows2000

I have two 2000 professional machines with office/outlook 2000 with
calendars shared out to the same universal group. I've installed all current updates for win2000, office2000, and outlook 2000. I've set
permissions to allow an everyone group editor privileges on both. For
some reason, if you create an appointment on one machine (PC1 for
example), the appointment gets added to PC2 as well. My goal is to
have PC1 downstairs, and PC2 upstairs, and have each calendar have
separate schedules. Has anyone else hit a similar problem? Any
suggestions?
