It'll last you until Vista ... if you continue to game on Vista with only 1Gb of memory prepare to be unhappy.

It's not that bad. I can run Windows Vista on my old Duron 850MHz with 256MB or ram and a slow 20GB drive and to be honest it runs fairly smoothly for a system like that. It's kind of like running Windows XP on a Pentium II 300MHz. As long as your not doing anything heavy your fine.
