Hey guys, I saw the 7800gs for $300 on newegg, and phewm I'm really impressed...But then I saw this SuperOC'ed version of the 7800gs with faster clock and memory speeds, the price difference is not much (a little bit more than $10) and I was womdering if the price difference was worth it? Do any of you personally have any of these vid cards? I was thinking of upgrading my 6600GT so that I can run Oblivion a bit better, without having to upgrade to PCI-E of course. Anyways, here are the cards:

'Regular' 7800GS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130275

SuperOCed 7800gs:

Your feedback is appreciated, thanks.

Well, if the price diff is only $10-$20, Id say get the OCd card, but anymore money then that and its a waste. You can easily OC the card yourself.

And the chip is likely to be better quality so your could theoretically OC it even further...

You can see from my sig that I got the CO version but the price and availiability are different in the UK.

I know how you feel Zep, I'm in the same boat as I am purchasing my 7800 gs tommorrow, and I'm not sure which one to go with... even still.... :( which way you chose??

psh now evga is trying to pull of this BS "SuperOC". First it was BFG with there factory overclocked cards and now I see other companies pulling this stunt

All cards which use the same core will be built on the same PCB...so really all you're getting for the money is a modded bios with higher default clock speeds that you could have easily reached with your own overclocking...you will still get roughly the same overclocking results with both cards
