hmm well if i go for the OCZ, its 1400 bucks. thats with shipping. Then minus 85 bucks all together from rebates. So thats i guess back to a little over 1300. I really need to be 1200 though. Its a 10,000 RPM harddrive really gonna be worth it? The space doesnt matter I dont use much but I dont want a slow hdd.

as for saving some $ got 3 suggestions

1) take this mobo instead

2) case , go for the thermaltake soprano or the antec performance plus

hm well i think i should really stick to the DFI mobo, and since now im getting OCZ, it runs best on that mobo i heard.

For the harddrive, can you explain how much faster it is from 7200 to 10,000. Like i said space isnt a problem, i never use more than 50gb. But i dont want a slow harddrive, but im not sure if 130 bucks is worth it for a 10,000 RPM harddrive. Otherwise id get something like u said, except more like 120gb or 80gb as its even cheaper but still same speed.

o the case, the case itd be nice to find a better one, but i would prefer a side duct thing, and 3 fans 2 120mm and a 80mm one because my other cause screwed over my pc hitting 120-130 degrees and it even had 3 fans while doing nothing. But the ones u listed are about 15 dollars cheaper. Maybe 20.

I think I could probably save on a different harddrive but what would you suggest. Can I get a small size harddrive 120 or 80gb that will be as fast as a 250gb or w/e at 7200 rpm. Small but fast HDD thats 7200.

i would save even more on the mobo and go with the MSI K8N Neo4-F for $80, it's pretty much the same mobo, exept the MSI is Nforce 4 and the asus is the Nforce4 Ultra, not sure of the difference.

120-130 degrees cant possibly be in celsius , keep in mind its not only the case material/fans its also the processor cooler and the processor itself the temperature range vary among diffrent processors and the intel prescott core processors are known to be very very hot , amd athlon 64 processors are very *cool* and you wont have no issue with one of the cases i suggested

the raptor is much faster and somewhat louder but does it really worth the extra $$? every one and his individual opinion

hmm well it seems 1300 will have to do. Ill think a lil more on the cases you linked, just there only a little bit cheaper than the one I chose, as for the ram, I think the valueram, the dual thing might be a bad idea so ill go with the OCZ as its faster, and only 20 more while rebate lasts.

For the Harddrive, ill read up on those links and decide what im going to do. Like i had mentioned space isnt a concern as i dont use much.



Also, since im newbish, what exactly is benchmarks and what are these programs people use to see how good there pc is and test if its up to par and working right. Ill definately need those for the new pc, as i want to make sure it works 100% for a long time because this will have to last from now to years to come.

well the value ram has no head spreader. Not sure what that means, but my last ram on other pc died because it got too hot all the time. I dont want that to happen to this ram.
