ah when will people learn that the megahertz wars are over....

intels do not suck.......for example the Intel Conroe....when that comes out and crushes the FX-60 you tell me Intel sucks..

lol.... yes .. but thriller500 .. im guessing your budget is 600? .. .... your going to wanna go pcie.. i got agp and now when i upgrade i gotta get a new mobo and grafics card .... so agp is not the futre .. pcie is ... i say ditch the sound card.. .get it when you have more money.. get a better hdd and grafics card and possible go crt..... which processor where you getting ... was it the 3800? that would be major bottle necked with the parts you have on thier if im not mistaken ?

If I was in your shoes I would go for a 3200 Venice, a PCIE 6800gs and use your current CRT, this will ensure you get the best PC, and then in 2-3 months time you can get a 17" LCD.

bootle necked means ... when you have somthing extoridinary.. like a 1900xtx... right but a sempron 2800... it means your being held back... and the grafics was holding back the processor power with a 3800 and that fx5200 or fx5500
