???motherboard???

i know there's a lot of posts about this sort of thing already but i'm having trouble finding the right motherboard.

i want it to fit an amd 4200+ (so socket 939) and have the capapbilities of housing a good graphics card.

budget= >£75

Ok for £75 the best board you will probably get is the asus A8N-SLI SE.

having 512mb of ram doesn't necessarily make it a good card if that is your thinking. i would look at the nVIDIA 7900 series if you can afford it. i wouldn't reccomend the 4200+ i don't think it is worth the extra money over the 3800+ it is really easy to overclock the 3800+ to 4200+ speeds.

Maybe hes not going to be overclocking the cpu and anyway its really easy to clock the 4200 to the 4400.

The x1800xt is another ok card with 512mb....

MB isnt everything thing though... many cards with 256mb way outperform cards with 512mb.

I got the x1900xt w/512mb and it is pretty sweet; before I got that, I had a 7800gt w/256mb, and that card did almost as good.

I only noticed like 20fps more for $200 more.
