Issue with mouse click on Win XP

Hi,

I reimaged my machine a couple of months ago and ever since I've been having problems with mouse clicks. I thoght it's just the mouse till I saw the same behavior when I used another healthy mouse and also when I used Windows remote Connection.

Basically, what happens is that when I drag and drop, dropping doesn't really kick in until I press the left button once again. So I click, drag and let go but the mouse is still in drag/drop is still dragging !
It's sooo annoying !!!

Do you have any idea where it could be coming from and what would possibly be the remedy for it?

HAve you updated your mouse drivers at all? That would be my first suggestion.

2nd check the mouse make sure tis clean and free of debris. It might be somethign stick in there that isnt allowing the mouse buttons to pop back up like they should.

sp 2 has been known to cause issues with some usb mouses
