Is there a way to fix this problem?
My motherboard is Asus P5P800 and I am using Windows XP Pro with no service packs.

Is there a way to fix this problem other than getting SP1 (or higher)?

I know it's not as fast. I want to fix the "problem" so that it will be using a Hi-speed port, and will be much faster.

It takes more than 10 minutes for a 1GB file. REALLY SLOW. 480Mbps > 12 Mbps xD

What are you talking about lol. I'm talking about the USB speed is slow.

I'm on 6Mbps down connection.

i have a vage recollection of a smilar problem i encountered. i *think* i fixed it by digging around on the motherboard driver cd. i found the usb 2 drivers which i had to manualy install.

err i though this is called 'i am plugging a USB2 device into a USB1.1 port' it isnt a problem, it will just run slower.... the only way to fix it is to put it into a USB2 port.
