Older hardware is still commonly used and is found in the business area. Also why try to cheat on the tests aren't they generated on the fly based on how you answer the questions, That is at least what I was informed. A+ Certs is not a push over like some say odd how they can even say that.

yeah i've taken a few practice exams for the heck of it. they are filled with the most useless crap you will ever find. like "which part of the laser printing process blah blah blah...." irq's are a must, sockets and buses are pretty important. go to xamsrus.org

Any A+ Certified guys here? I'm gonna be taking the core side of the test here pretty soon. Got any pointers?

the A+ tests are majorly easy I passed both with 80%+
I only did 1 days revision for the os test!!

memorise the basic Io addresses and all the IRQs (com + lpt) brush up on your harddrive knowledge / basic network knowledge and relax... its easy.

also memorise everything about laser printers.. remember careful computer wennies dont trade files LOL
