how come my desktop is messed up? :(

Hi everyone

i have a minor problem i think most of you know how to fix this very quickly

the shortcuts on my desktop has a background square under the shortcut name. how do i remove the square? i just want the shortcut name to be shown. thanks. im using windows xp professional.

go to performance in system properties, check use drop shadows, apply......refresh
