Windows Media Player in Firefox...

Whenever I try to play windows media player streaming video in Mozilla Firefox, this pops up and i cant play the file...

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I get that error all the time also. I dont know how to fix it. Some have suggested to get rid of flash and shockwave and then try to reinstall them to get results. But nothing i have found works.

People keep telling me to uninstall and reinstall wmp, but HOW DO YOU DO IT?! it's not in add/remove programs..

go to add/remove, add/remove windows componenets, uncheck it, it will uninstall. Then download WMP10 from Microsoft.com

Click 'Start', 'Run', type
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\wmp.inf,Uninstall
and hit Enter.

download wmp plugin for netscape. It works. I've answer this like a million times

or use the media player connectivity extension so that regular wmp can play it

Downloading the one for netscape didn't work for me. Whats the media player connectivity extension?
