At the beginning of March I started this thread:-
I have two BXM829D (Slot 1) boards both with 2.0v Pentiums on, there are no
jumpers and only the FSB is available through the BIOS. Will I be able to use
the later 1.65/1.7/1.8v models on this board ?

while I waited for a reply to my email to PC Partner. I got a prompt reply as
follows
"The BXA829D is only available for the Slot 1 type CPU, which is 100MHz FSB
with 512K level 2 cache. The CPU speed is up to Pentium III 600 (100MHz
FSB,512K L2). The high speed processors are inapplicable."
After rereading the manual I came across this part:-
VRM (Voltage Regulator Modules) on Board
• Flexible motherboard design with on-board VRM 8.2, easy to upgrade
with Intel’s® Future Overdrive® processors.
So I searched for "VRM 8.2" and found the following:-

and a search on "Pentium 3 Katmai" found this:

all this coincided with the disappearance of 600MHz/2.0v parts from Ebay.
I think I will try and find a cheap 1.7v part.
This case is closed! I think
