Personally, a good CRT is any model that can fit in the dumpster, but if yer heart is set on buying a 30-pound photon-tormenter, keep looking.

I bet you are using a 45" LCD? :D

Glare is not the most important issue when it comes to display quality, but modern CRT's do a good job at preventing glare, not as good as LCD's though. But LCD's with a glass plate in front of the screen also have some amount of glare.

It is that shiny surface on the screen, but it is coated in something that reduces glare.

CRT's have better image quality then LCD's for the price. A simple fact.
