weird message

Office 2000, at minimum... have gotten two calls today both getting error message 2nd time they log into an office product. Error message reads that application is not installed, please install application from original location. The first I had to log on as administrator and everything worked fine was able to use all applications. had to rename profile and create new profile. Has anyone seen anything like this, only occurs in a single profile, single machine. Don t want to have to recreate all profiles. Maybe spyware or virus????

I've had it a couple of times but it was b/c they were logging into the local machine instead of the network. Once logged into the network everything was fine.

know the fix just not the problem

wish that was the case was logging in to network whole time. I have the second machine was never part of a network just a simple home pc.

copy the cd to the hdd and install it
