you are getting a socket 478 CPU and a socket 775 motherboard.
they won't work together.

I also recommend you get 2 x 512MB sticks of RAM:

Wait Wait Wait... long story short
I got this processor from dell (my origianal setup) and i researched my origional system setup, this is wat is says

"PROCESSOR, 80547, PENTIUM 4 PRESCOTT DT, 520, SOCKET T, E0, MALE"

Be original make your own. there's no fun in just getting a template and adding text.

Well all i have is paint... dont have photoshop or any of that stuff.

lol ya they're both socket 775... i didn't notice cuz i got the impression that this comp is already working.

well since you got the cpu like 2yrs ago, and the rest like a year ago, its fine. not such a bad deal. i thought you paid for this stuff like now.

oo no... i am jus startin 2 upgrade my dell dimension 4700 slowly but surely... i made plenty mistakes but im almost there.... right now all i can do is look at my 6800gs and 1gb and dream ahhhhhhh

it just seems like my cpu wouldnt fit my motherboard cause my cpu cooler in my old build doesnt fit on my motherboard... hopefully dell is right, or im suein dells (___)..... thanks
