power supply help/ video card

be good enough to power the 6800gs good reliability? 6 pin or what ever connectors?

not enough info on the powersupply, but it does not look adequate. if you want a high quality power supply you're looking at $50 or so

Jeremy, i read that and these are the brands you listed for good psus
1) pc power and cooling
2) ocz & tagan (both have nearly identtical components and cooling as both made by same manufacutrer)
3) fortron fsp
4) enermax
5) antec
6) thermaltake

in order or just random?

all 4 of those still be able to power 6800gs?

the first one have only 18A on the +12v which isnt much also naturally it dont have pci-e connectors as its not atx 2.0/2.01 also you it dont have 24pin , the second one is way too low on the +3.3v and also have only 18A on the +12v , i'd go with the antec tp2 430w for 60.28$ from

i guess ill go with this one since its a bit cheaper....
the hipro in my computer right now has never failed me once...
also... im not very"technical" so this is really the only part im confused about are all the pins and connectors what do i need for it to work with my mobo (specs are somewhere in this thread, and the video card) only part thats confusing to me

your motherboard have a main 24pin connector , therfore you gotta get a psu with 24pin , you can get a psu with 20pin and use an adapter but thats not a good idea as theres a high chance of instability as most 20pin psus are pretty low on the +12v rail+alot of motherboards with 24pin wont work so well with a non atx 2.0/2.01 psu , the pci-e connector is needed for high end pci-e video cards (and all 24 pin psu's come with at least 1 if not 2) its also possible to use an adapter instead that will take 2 power plugs , as for what you need to get you alredy got plenty of help with that

might be right on that, back in the days enermax was better but recently antec psus seem to got much better in compare
