Opening older works in word 2003??

Hey guys, im trying to convert some people over to word, as thay have been stuck on works for so long, its about time to move on. Anyway, im using word 03, and need to convert some of the files, that are templates, into word from works. The converter that is built into 2003 doesnt work, it will allow me to open them, but you lose alot of the data, or its encoded still. Does anyone know of a good converter out there for this purpose.

couldnt you copy and paste the document (select all), and paste it into word, then save it as a DOC file?

i dont know if you can save works files to word.
