I built my rig with an ASUS P4P800SE and Prescott P4 3.0GHz. I am having a couple problems and would like to know about a few bios settings. I use XP pro and my pc ramdomly hangs when i load outlook or other microsoft programs. on top of that, no program loads when i try opening them, then after like 5 mins everything opens up just like that. please someone, tell me what to do with those settings below.
1. ICH Delayed Transaction.
2. Performance Mode.
3. Memory Acceleration Mode.
4. MPS Revision. [1.1 or 1.4]
I have had it with asus and their stupid support. when i contacted them, they emailed me with crap like "Enables or Disables ICH Delayed Transaction" like a 5 year old could not figure that out on his own. they also told me to leave it on the default setting, which does not tell me what the option does nor does it tell me why i should have it set to whatever value it is set to.
