Keyboard shiftlock?

My friend's keyboard has started to type things as it'll do if he had shift pressed. For example all letters type up as capitals and numbers as symbols just like it will if pressed with shift.

Has shiftlock (if there is one) been enabled somehow, or what is wrong there?

if caps-lock is off, the shift key is probably stuck. use a flat screwdriver and loose it up also check for any dirt under it if theres dirt clean it

I've asked him and he says its a fairly new keyboard and the shift key isn't stuck or anything.

Any help?

then i would be lead to believe that it is broken.
