:| okay, to conclude this endless thread, lets get a few oppinions here. im a highschool student that wants a good agp video card. i am currently jobless, but working on one. im looking to spend up to &300.00 ( unless i am strongly presuaded otherwise ).

you didnt mention that *AGP* part before , the best for agp is 7800GS (about 289$) , the question is if its really worth it for you to get it cuz the cpu have a big impact on the graphic card performance and if your cpu aint good enough for it then it wont perform at its best

dosen't 2800+ = about 2.8 ghz? isin't that acceptable for gaming?
