Is a price drop for the 7900GT expected by around June?

u sure, cause the 7800s havent dropped that much and neither have the 60s. or have the 60s dropped? i wasnt into parts when the 60s first came out.

prices always seem to drop with the next series of cards, 6 series cards dropped down when the 7's came out, so the 7's will drop when the 8's come out

Not really.

When serie 7 comes, the price of serie 6 didnt come down a lot. Because serie 6 is still strong at the moment.

Then i suspect the same will hlod true when seire 8 comes. Serice 7 price will go down, but not an awful low.

well the 7900gt/gtx isn't a new series its an addition to the 7*** series. i would expect a price drop by next month/may in the 7800 series

Doesn't matter...they are already cheap. I just bought the 7900gt from Tiger and it was $322 shipped Fl to CA. 24 pipes and stock 550/1500. should scream for not alot of money and XfX ships the drivers to include Coolbits....guess they are saying OC the card. I don't get this card until 3/22/06 but I'll bet it will approach the stock 7900GTX speeds for $300 when OC'd!
