1) Which ram is better? OCZ Premier series or Corsairs value select?

DVD writers can burn and play CDs and DVDs.

considering both have lifetime warranty & both are cas 2.5, just go with the cheaper one (ocz) , as for the movie burning question it depends what type of movie your talkin about if its xvid/divx then your dvd player will be able to play it only if it supports xvid/divx otherwise it wont,anyway there are various programs for converting xvid/divx to dvd convertxtodvd is an excellent one but a better solution is to buy an divx/xvid capable player as it will save alot of time+you wont lose quality (there is some quality loss when converting)

i suggest youll check dvd burner reviews on these sites before you make your final decision

Value memory is pretty good out of the box but not that OCable, the OCZ is faster out of the box and is very OCable. If you aren't OCing neglect the OCZ altogether and go with value.

yea i wont be overclocking at all but the premier just seems cheaper than the value, and you say the premier is faster out of the box than the value? so its faster, more ocable and cheaper? i think ocz it is.

The OCZ should be suprisingly faster, I don't know why it's cheaper ...

what your basing that on? both are pc3200/ddr400 and both have 2.5 cas latency

edit and thats untrue , the ocz mentioned here is not intended for overclocking its just for general use not all ocz rams are for overclocking

none of em , their both equal on that as both are pc3200/ddr400 and both have 2.5 cas latency , and considering both have lifetime warranty and equal speed just go for ocz cuz its cheaper theres no real reason to spend more on the corsair
