Can't install Windows Office 2003

Got Microsoft Office 2003 new in the box and it will not install..........

It says one of the cab. files are missing.................................

Browsed the install cd and I see the file that it says is missing................ CP461401

Is this a problem with my Windows XP home or the CD???

CD drive or the CD itself anyways.

I have had that issue myself with 2003. Even when i browsed my CD i found the file it said it was missing. I even directed the install to it. Yet still wouldnt install. I didnt know what to do at that point. No matter what i tried it didnt install.

Maybe try to download the Office SP2 and slipstream it into the install and see if that helps any.

you can also try to copy the contents to your hdd and then run it
