Green tinted LCD

Just replaced the mobo on my Dell Inspiron 3200 D300XT because the original one fried -- unknown cause.

Now my LCD is tinted green PLUS the fan stops running after about 5 seconds into the boot process. It never comes back on. I replaced the fan with the same results.

Any tips or suggestions? I have checked for unseated plugs and loose wiring but they seem to be okay. External monitor color is normal.

If more than one thing is crapping out, I'd suggest checking your power supply. What other things happen when you boot?

No other malfunction -- unit will continue boot and Win98SE operates normally from that point forward - just that the lcd stays green and the fan never comes back on. I continue using the laptop but only with the "laptop cooler" ON.

my tv turned green when I had the speakers too close to it...same problem maybe for you?
