Hey Guys,

I have decided on a gaming build. My budget is around $2500 CAN (excluding the monitor). I will not be overclocking for at least a year, because I have have no experience. However, I decided to choose overclocking ram because I plan on overclocking in the future. I have not bought these parts yet, so I am looking for suggestions from you guys:

The total with shipping and tax comes out to:

$2637 CAN

So far everything looks great, but the Truepower PSU you picked out is designed for server motherboards. It will work with ATX mobos because Antec made it compatible with both 4-pin (ATX) and 8-pin (ESP), but I would get the regular ATX version that is slightly cheaper since your motherboard is ATX. I accidently got the ESP12V TruepowerII version (the same one you picked) but it doesn't matter since it can work with ATX motherboards.

All you have to do is get the Antec TruepowerII ATX version and you'll be fine.

but it'll still run games fine until u do, so u cant go wrong. but go with watever u want.

Not really, it really depends on what games you're running. For example on a GPU intensive game like F.E.A.R, you won't notice a slight difference. But with HL2 which is more CPU intensive, there will be very very slight difference. I say get the Opteron 165. You may say you won't be overclocking for a while, but i bet itll be sooner than you anticipated.

Okay, I've decided to get the Opteron 165. What about the monitor? Should I get that one or another cheaper one with 8ms
