SATA vs SATA2

I never knew that SATAI existed, I thought that it was only SATAII.
wouldn't make much sense just to start off at 2 ;)

Also........just for a little further information. SATAII in all reality is pretty pointless. SATAI and SATAII both write to the HD's at the same speed. So it really doesn't matter if SATAII can technically transfer more information along the cable if the HD itself can't write that fast.

I'm pretty sure as it is a normal 7200RPM hard drive can't even fully utilize a full 150mb/sec in terms of writing that much per second to the HD....sooo even if SATAII can carry 300mb/sec across the cable and interface, it doesn't matter since the HD can still only write approx 150mb/sec or lower anyway.

What I meant is that I thought all SATA hard drives transfered a 3Gb/s, I didn't know that there was ever a slower one.
