there the same price but one is sata and other one is sata2

They are supposed to have nearly the same performance as there really aren't large enough HD's to take advantage of Sata 3.0Gb/s yet.

However, Sata 2 motherboards are [supposed] to support SATA 1 and SATA 2 HD's.

They do, but the SATA1 Raptor 150 is faster than any SATA2 drive, so that goes to show you that it really makes no difference, yet.

Raptor spins at 10,000 rpms and the SATA2 drives spin at 7,200 which would explain the difference.

the only difference between raptors and regular mainstream SATAS is really the access times.

Higher RPM of 10,000 other than 7,200 RPM means that the raptor accesses data 5 ms faster.

Oh no! Since i dont use Raptors, that means il have to wait and extra 2 seconds to play a BF2 server. Darn gosh golly!!
