Buying a laptop

hello

i would like to buy a notebook and here are my requirements

1. mostly for excel and business stuff
2. no heavy graphics
3. needs to have internet access
4. should be upgradeable
5. hopefully with dvd movies viewing

ok. so i need help to select one. my budget is not more than 900 dollars. i am thinking Acer is the way to go and use Newegg. what do you all think

can you suggest any good notebooks with the above requiremetns?. please include links -those are really helpful

hmm, I bought from UK www.shopacer.com, but dont go for ferrari as if you really dont need it, as I bought keeping in mind really high specs, which you might not needing. alternatively, you can get a ML-32 version for Acer Ferrari, which will be cheaper, but same looks. it wasnt the looks that I bought Ferrari for, but the things under the hood. later on I realised that Looks are as well worth the price paid for. best to check out the Acer websites for your country, and they have links for their recommended channnel partners.

Well, laptops really aren't upgradeable. A P3 like nitestick said, would be fine if all you do is excel/internet and would be pretty cheap.
 
wow..good info...i was strolling down office depot and saw this laptop for 999

sony vaio vgn fs810/wwidescreen notebook
ntel celeron M processor 370
15.4WXGA xbrite eco lcd screen
802.11b/g wirelss lan
etc

what do you all think..is this worth the 999 price
