Converting DVD's

Ok so I need a program to convert DVD's into something smaller but still with good quality. I need something fairly simple to use as I will be ripping and converting tons of movies onto my hdd. Has to have pretty good video and sound quality and preferably under 1.5GB since I only have about 170GB of free space and I need to fit lots of movies on there.

It doesnt matter too much if its a format that cant be curned to a DVD but it would be nice just in case I ever want to watch one of them in my living room.

Just give me some names and if you have the time some tips on some good ones to convert the movies. Free programs are always good but I can probably find most others as a bittorrent.

BTW I'm using DVD Decrypter to rip them if that matters.

use autogk to convert em to xvid http://www.autogk.me.uk its very user friendly & easy to use & its freeware too , as for the playing on dvd as long as your dvd player is capable of playing xvid's that wont be an issue

you beat me to it. win dvd copy 4 is just as good, but it ain't free
