Sweet build man. Weird window on that case, but it's great overall. Flashy RAM, heh.

Btw, I hope you're going to upgrade from that stock HSF :p.

I still have yet to know why case manufacturers have windows that show the rails for the drive bays.

Anyway, thanks for the comments.

1. Where did you buy from?
2. Where did you get the cool RAM?!
3. Beautiful setup. If I had the money, that is what I would build!
4. Have you benchmarked it?

Dante:

1. Most of the parts I bought from a combination of mwave and zipzoomfly; WAY cheaper than newegg. Bought the case, PSU and 74GB Raptor locally. XFX card from overclockers UK
I reasearched all parts using pricegrabber.com

2. Corsair 3500LLPRO, see above

3. I ran 3dmark 2001 (for laughs) = 31779

also ran 3dmark05 = 9663

Will do more in depth testing when I have more time.

can't get 3dmark 06 to install. I think I have a corrupted download.

its a shame you didnt wait for the 7900gtx though.. but that'll still eat up the 7900 gt i got, more props to ya

Not really ... same number of pipelines and such. The 7900GTX has an extra vertex engine at most, but it's clocks (650/1600), can be OC'd to pretty easily by the 7900GT's (some come stock at nearly 600/1600!). I believe it also has the dual-slot cooler over the 7900GT, besides that, your talking identical architecture. Same deal with the 7800GT being nearly just as powerful as the 7800GTX 256, except this time the 7900GT is more like the 7900GTX because they both share the same amount of pipelines.
