Windows 98 Problem

My friend shut down his computer in ms dos mode and he dont know how to get back into normal mode now when ever he tries to reboot how can get get back into normal mode?

He should be able to push F8 right after POST and select normal mode from the boot menu.

From DOS type in Windows that should bring back Windows for him from the DOS prompt.

If that dont work try going into the C:/Windows folder then type Windows.
