Speeding up Windows 98

My Friend has a windows 98 and i was Wondering on how i can speed it up and make it alittle more faster than usual anyway that i can do this?

Yes , there are some freeware cleaners on the Net and do a Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter and clean out all the internet cache

Cookies: START > RUN >type cookies then delete them all apart from the Index file

Prefetch: Start > Run >type Prefetch then Delete them all then do disk cleanup then restart the pc

Dont forget those Anti-Virus and Spyware and Adware Scans

Unless you have a Windows 98 CD and then just Reformat the HDD but really theres not much point in doing so

remove unwanted items from Start-Up,

also download Delindex and run from true MS-DOS mode.

I;\'m pretty sure prefetch is only in windows xp.
But if your specs are good enough you could just formatand put xp on it.

Make sure u have programs against spyware ( Spybot and Adaware)
Another vote for Ccleaner for cleaning out the trash.
Diskeeper is a nice utility for defragging, here's the linm to the Lite version
