or

AMD Athlon X2 4800+

- Either

Leadtek 7900GTX 512MB

or

Sapphire ATI Radeon x1900XTX

- NZXT Lexa Case

Approx 100£

(Heard some problems about space.. do you recon this will be a major factor?)

I might be buying this either today or tomorrow. So quick opinions and alternative suggestions. I may be limited to the 4400+ if i can't afford it all. But i also don't want to be wasting money - not so bothered about waiting again for Geforce 8000 because i have waited for my PC for about 2 months because of this 7900 and it wasn't even worth that much in the end.

Any suggestions appreciated

Get the 4400+, not sure about the AKASA psu :|

And either get the 7900GTX or teh X1900XT, still a draw here, like ATI go with ATI like nvidia go with nvidia. Both are great cards

I would get the Hiper Type R 580w PSU as it is a bargain in the UK, and is also the only relaible PSU that has modular cables.

I would get the 7900GTX for two reasons, it has better drivers and it performs better/very similary: http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2717&p=7

I would go for the X2 4400.

I'm not a fan of that case, but if you like like it, it will be the one for you.

The x2 4400+ can OC to x2 4800+ speeds easily.

I'd say the X1900XTX since as games begin to use more shaders, ATI's 1:3 shader ratio will be more effective.

Antec, PCP&C, OCZ and FS Nortron are brands you want to look at for PSU's, look no lower than 550w for that system, especially if you plan on OCing.

Thanks for replies,

= PROCESSOR =

Only reason i was considering 4800+ is that it was less overclocking to get to FX 60 level. Proberly bad way of looking of spending 100£ but that was my look at things.

= Graphics Card to Motherboard =

If i did choose the x1900XTX - sapphire is the best version to use right? Also... would it be best for me to buy a

DFI Lanparty UT RDX200CF-DR SKT939 CROSSFIRE Dual PCI-E ATI RD480+SB450 Chipset Dual DDR400 SATA ATX?

(Awaits your replies and just hope everything else is at high level)

I would go with the X1900 XT because its cheaper and performs close to the xtx. I believe that sapphire is a good brand. And 4400 X2 is the way to go, just do a small oc. -Charlie

Yes or the HIS Excalibur when I was looking at ATI a couple of years ago this is what I was going to go for.

It is still only a small overclock for the 4400 to FX60 speeds, in the end it depends on how much £100 is to you, if you earn alot, go for the 4800 if not the 4400 is still an amazing chip.

What about the PSUs?

And the thing about if i went with x1900 XT(X) then should i move to DFI Crossfire one?
