Or you could look into a AGP style card? But i would go with a new pcie mobo and a 7900GT, i've heard those thigns rock.

Dependin on wot mobo you have. If possbile, you can post you mobo on the site and people can help you easily

If you have a ATI PCI Express then you can simply purchase a new card. The 1900 XT / 1900 XTX is the best card of ATI at the moment.

If you dont have a PCI express slot on your mobo, then depending on which chipset you have, you can purchase an AGP card. For your mobo, this ATI card could be fine:

But in my opinion, buy a new PCI_Express mobo then you have plenty of space for upgrading in the future.

You probaly would need a new mobo if you get a new generation card. Your card is pretty much outdated, but so is mine. [Am trying to bare onto it until i get my new system]. And is this AUD or USD?

Since you have that wide of a budget, expanding to PCI-e is definitely the best way to go. The 7900GT is such an excellent card for it's value. Save up for the DX10, G80 or R600.

Also, will your CPU and RAM work in the new motherboard.
