Pre OC'd cards

Okay, regular 7900gt clocks at 500/1500. The pre-oc'd version clocks at 550/1680. I know you can overclock the regular yourself to try and reach those speeds, but can the overclocked one be taken to an even higher overclock from where it is factory set at? Thanks for the info.

The overclocked one is probably at its limit, but with better cooling, i think you could possibly overclock some more

No, both of them should overclock around the same. But as PZEROFGH said, better cooling might make it go even higher

if the pre-overclocked models aren't already at their limit they will generally go a fair way compared to the stock because they normally are shipped with better coolers

My 6800GS is factory oc'ed to 370/1050 and no matter what i do i can't get past 400/1100

Thanks for the info guys, do you recommend any aftermarket coolers that you know will fit the 7900 gt's that I could put on???

I dont think there are any aftermarket coolers for the 7900gt yet anyway.
