I never had problems whating DVDs on my old system without any noticable quality sacrifice.

Yea, I dunno if you can play windows solitare with that 7600. Benchmarks show even the 7900 gtx OCed has some problems running it at even medium settings. I'd wait till the g80 comes out then you will be able to dominate solitare and you'll even be able to play vista solitare ;)

hahaha:D

I'm sorry to say this but based on your needs you should have gotten a integrated video mainboard.

Since this is my first build and I dont plan on upgrading for awhile I
figured I go for med-to high end stuff
I guess its better to have it and not need it it then need and not have

Again I dissagree as your buying things now that you are not using and are paying a premium price for new technology. When you need it you can get it then at a resonable price.

my $0.02

You got a point tyler, but at a minimum I was lookin at getting the 6600gt or maybe even the 6800gs
the cheapest was 120-170 so there wasnt that much price diff
the 7600gt was 189

Im just glad i wont be messing with this dell/ celeron/ intergrated video anymore (will be the wifes)
I tried to play madden 05 and rogue spear just wouldnt do it.

I think I understand what you are trying to do and you already told me that you do not plan on upgrading your PC once it's built but I strongly recommend you get a Geforce 5xxx series or 6xxx series then upgrade to a cheaper 8xxx card when they are released later. Even the lower end of the 8xxx series will be better than todays cards and much cheaper I estimate $300.

Your looking at upgrading in a 6-8 month time frame if you do this. and a 5xxx or 6xxx will play WoW just fine and hold you over till then in most ocassions.
