I wanna start my first self build project. I was gonna wait for the new AMD stuff to come out, but I decided to go ahead and build a comp now. This one will be for my wife. LOL I'll build the better one for myself later on. :)

Anyway, I want this comp to run most games, in particular WOW for my wife REALLY well. Here's what I plan on putting into the comp. Feel free to make suggestions on changes that should be made. Infact, plz do. I can use all the help I can get.

I wanst sure what PSU or NIC card to get, so help me out with those if you can. :)

Let me know if thers any changes that should be made.

Thanks all.

Looks good, cept drop the SLI mobo if your just gonna build yourself a super rig later. Also for your PSU I'd an Antec truepower II 480 or 550 watt. 550 would be safer for future upgrades.

I have one question...Where did you find a woman that likes to play computer games?!! They don't sell those at NewEgg the last time i checked! : / hahahaha.

Personally, I think you should look in a few other directions.

1.) That case is nice, but instead consider looking at like a Cooler Master Centurion w/o PSU for about $50.

2.) The Antec PSU you linked is basically the same as this one here:

This one i've link is cheaper and has a $15 MIR.

3.) With the money that you've saved from that uber expensive full tower case, you can better invest it in more storage on your HDD. Look into a Seagate "Cuda" 300GSATA $130

4.) Also, may-be upgrade the sound card to an X-fi Extreme Music.

That's IMO

:D Yep, she LOVES games. She's been that way ever since we started dating................weve been married for over five years now. She's better at games then I am. LOL

No need for NIC card as your mobo has it onboard.

The X-FI Extreme Music costs just a bit more and sounds much better.

You haven't picked a video card yet but WoW isn't a graphic intensive game something to keep in mind.
