Using freeware utility SafeXP is the fastest (screenshot). Or other:

Start - Run - secpol.msc - Local Policies - Security Options - Shutdown: Clear virtual memory pagefile.

Oh...I'm having a little trouble understanding exactly what a "pagefile" is. I googled it, but still dont understand. Can anybody explain?

a pagefile is a reserved portion of a hard disk that is used as an extension of random access memory (RAM) for data in RAM that hasn't been used recently.

Thanks Talldude123...if I dont delete pagefiles at shutdown, how does that affect my computer's performance? Leaves "holes" on the hard drive where RAM was recently used?
