I would like to find out some recomendations for watercooling

what is a good brand, maybe something from www.newegg.com

no more than $100

(btw: this info is for a friend)

100 wont cut it for a decent watercooling for your GPU and CPU. If you want something good, i would recommend at least 200-300 range.

If he's just going for CPU 150 would be cool.

Im not sure if you wuold want to buy a pre made water cooling kit as custom DD kits are always the way to go :).

she only wants it for the cpu...

perhaps you could give me more info on these custom DD kits (noob to water cooling)

and I'm sure my friend would rather be able to buy it from a store (nothing custom...)

Companies like Danger Den sell individual parts for water cooling.
Also swiftech make the Storm which is one of the best for CPU water blocks.

Water cooling isn't really mind boggling, its just simple science.

CPU block conducts heat > heat transferred into water > Heat taken out of water by radiator. EAsy :)

Yes obviously he wants to spend 100 dollars on the new stormtech blocks :p

www.dangerden.com

150 might be good, Maybe the maze CPU block, black ice pro rad with 1 120mm fan. Couple of feeting of tubing. Either the reservoir or T line

i guess in a resort you could go with the thermaltake big water SE, but no one likes those. Nubius has one, you could possibly buy it from him for like 50 bucks :)
