For anyone who has a Samsung Writemaster

(TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H542A)

lately I've been haveing problems... almost every disk I try to burn failed

but I found out why...

one of the features the dvd burner has is "write at least 1GB per disk, etc..."

In nero: the last screen before it starts burning, click options with that drive selected... and uncheck that option

fixed everything...

now I wish I could just get back the $100+ I spent on failed dvd's

Lol. Why didn't you try a rewritable disc when you realised it kept failing? If you know it is gonna fail it's not that smart to keep trying over and over.

no worries... i over exagerated... most of the spools of dvd's somebody had bought for me...

and the ones I did buy probably only cost about $20 - $30 in the end
