Hey
I need help deciding on what PSU to get. I've looked about and these two look the best.

But i just dunno which to get. I would like a modulated PSU but its not a must. I'm overclocking my comp and the silverstone one is the best for efficancey and less voltage dips and also has more wattage. But the enermax has modualted. Just wondering if the Silverstone would be better because of better PSU or the enermax because of air flow. If there are anyother PSU's i should know about please tell me.:D

Lol all mixed views :D. The hiper has very poor efficancey and has voltage dips and stuff so that's a no although it does look good and has high wattage. I've pritty much decided on the silverstone as i can hide the extra wires in the seperate chamber on my P180 case. So thanks for the help guys :p

If your interested, here are some ones I am looking at. Not modular as they can have issues.

I know all of these are quality PSU's, my decision is whether to go a stronger single 12v rail, or dual 12v rails.

Sparkler 550w - single 12v@36a - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103478
FSP 550w - dual 12v@18a each - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817104973
OCZ Powerstream 520w - single 12v@33a - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817711002
Antec TruePower 550w - dual 12v@19a each - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103933

Another great brand are Zippy/Emacs PSU's but I have had a hard time finding them, but you may want to check them out.

Yes but few psu's manage no downfalls in that psu test.
How often would you put your psu in a 'difficult and demanding 24-hour test' ? Also it says the psu survived the difficult and demanding 24-hour test and the (minus) -12V rail is only seldom used in PCs nowadays.

'Hiper has subsequently improved this product, and re-submitted this PSU for further testing.'
