saw something strange as windows desktop was loading after a restart....a blank window that read 'MAIN - blank' at least I think that's what it said, it was there for about 3 secs, then gone and windows loaded. I have been having strange problems. that can't be solved easily. I've had my tech come in and spend an hour playing with this heap of trash work terminal....nothing has been solved. for christ's sake, do you guys have any suggesstions? anything piece of software , anything.....i have not ruled out worms and viruses yet.....remember this is a company desktop that idiots use daily.....there has been comet cursor and all this fun stuff...

I would start by running a virus scan with the latest DAT files...I like the STINGER tool located at www.mcafee.com if I recall. Then run Spy Bot search and destroy..then if all else fails run a repair on the OS itself to return the system files to there original state.
