6 and 7 series OC's

So the 6 and 7 series from nvidia are obviously quite popular. And i've noticed alot of people OC'ing them. I've searched the forums for a post like this, but i figured it'd be a good idea to make a post to get ideas for good OC's for those series of cards.


Right now i'm running my 7800GT @ 502/1.17. Anyone push theirs any further with stock cooling? The cards at 44C at idle, so I dont think i'd wanna push it too far.

Right now i have my agp BFG 6800GS OC @ 400/1100 from 370/1050,As soon as i get a good psu and better cooling i'm going to see what i can get out of her,I had it @ 425/1150 but the temp's were a little high for my liking's so i put it down a little.

i have my 7800gt overclocked to 524 Core 1250Ghz Mem with the 1.5 volt mod

Mines like 510/1.21 on stock. From i believe 445/1.15? im not sure about the memory speed :|

how do you find the temp and what is a limit on how hot i want my card?

The temps are in the nvidia drivers, right click, ndisplay, choose your monitor, temperature settings.

Any video card can go up to 120C before it starts to break down on you. You dont want it to really go above 60-80C

my driver dont have that option, could it be that my card dosent have a temp measuring device?
