yea, i already have a nice desktop rig. i just wanted a laptop that could play games on the go.

ah check out the acer ferrari, i thas a decent graphics card (X700). can do some light gaming on that card. but it has around like 3 hr 30 min battery life and a pretty fast 2.2ghz cpu. looks flashy too =)

Gaming and mobility don't mix, even the best of the "gaming notebooks" have poor battery life, are heavy and not thin which really doesn't make them mobile. They don't have great video cards either, unless you can get the 7800GTX which costs $500-600+, or the 6800Ultra which isn't much cheaper.

like i said, it depends on what you plan on doing with it. if you're a traveler, get the notebook, but if this is mainly for home use, financially speaking (both in the present and the future) you're much better off going with a desktop machine.
