Video Capture card question

Im looking to buy one - these are the things that can record tv shows right? What is the best one on the market?

No - I want to record shows on my computer - with WAY better quality than VCR analog crap.

Capture card lets you watch cable or TV thur an atenna.Bought a cheap $10 card i still use.this just lest you watch TV.Cards are around 40 or 50 with remote.

http://www.snapstream.com/ Is the cheapest way to make a PVR.Though a 1 hour program takes about 1 gig. they got a free trial to check it out.Cost 70 buck's for program and no monthly fee's.My VCR is junk now.

Tivo is another way but you need to buy a Tivo box and they charge you by the month for listing's.

AIW is another but i really dont recommand it.If you up date your card and you dont get another AIW you lose your capture card.Buying a seperate card for capturing is best.

my friend has one of those n they are good...he has the remote n all ..he can watch tv n rocord like a vcr but it goes on his harddrive

its really good but i dunno how good it is for the cpu and if ur overworking it ?
