People here go mad over eVGA. I had a 6800 for nearly a year until it overheated and caused permanant artifacts, but it played HL2 on high settings, and performed flawlessly.

A Zalman VGA heatsink and ram sinks would be a great idea.

Wow, that is a good deal. I say do it. After rebates, I paid $60 more for my 128mb 6800.

It will probably be best if you went for a 6800GS and overclocked that.

This is there cheapest one clocked at 450mhz and don't get the motherboard.

Thats $50 more than I really wanted to spend at this moment, I know the 6800GS is better and then the 7800GT is better and blah blah, but this card is at a sweet price for its performance.
The only problem with the heatsink is that I'm using a Shuttle so large heatsinks won't fit on my VGA cards, they have to be single slot height.
Anybody know of any single slot height coolers?

Honestly I would get the cheapest one that you can get and still live with it for at least Summer then get the G80s then you will have DX10. There will be low end to high end cards to fit your price when that time comes.

You could look into an NV Silencer - takes up one PCI slot in my Aria. The one I have--NV Silencer 5 Rev. 3--should fit.
